Writing Dillema

Hey all of my readers,

I am a 14 year old boy and i am faced with a huge dillema. I have no idea what to write. Please help me. It would be awsome if you could comment on this post. I need ideas for what to write.

Allways open for suggestions,

David

New York Rangers

My favorite ice hockey team is the New York Rangers. If any Islanders fans are reading this, too bad you didn’t even make it into the qualifications. We (the Rangers) beat New Jersey Devils in the quarterfinals of the Western Conference 4-1 i believe (please correct me if I am wrong). So we were now in the semifinals which in we are currently losing 3-1. This is against Pittsburg Penguins (please correct my spelling). They are doing very well this season and beat Ottowa Senetors 4-3.

That was my latest ice hockey update. Thanks for reading.

Ice Hockey tournament 3

When I wrote my Ice hockey tournament 2 I actually had another tournament just before I wrote it.

Well, this time we went to yet another place.  The sandstorms had two teams this time, a red one and one white. This city is much closer so we took a car there. an annoying 7 and a half hour car drive to the city [my school has forbidden (actually recomended, but still) anyone from saying the cities since that might affect our safty, even though some people might know where i am from and where i currently live, not the same place you know, it is strange living in another country I think but you get used to it after three, four years] (wow! that was a long parenthesis!). I had to sit next to my broter Pontus (he was playing his PSP, it was an interesting game i can tell you). In the front my mom, Anna, and my dad, Lars, who was the driver for most of the trip. In the very back Lisa, my smallest sister (she’s three I think and turning four in May), Isak, my other brother, and Elin my other sister. So you see, I am from a family of 7 and a dog and many fish.  Well back to the drive, the drive was long and boring as we were driving through a barren landscape with few trees and almost no cities. I watched two or three classical movies on the way there: Ocean’s 11 and Ocean’s 13; and slept on the way back. Well, after a few long hours we got to the hotel…

The hotel was beautiful, but after having been there about five to ten times before and to better hotels (like the Mi Casa, Kuala Lumpur) it didn’t seem so much.   We did get a bottom suite and a large garden though so it was nice. plus it was only a short walk to the pool, so you can guess where I spent my Friday. Me, Stefan, Julian, James, and Pontus spent all day at the kind-of-very-nice pool, they had a trampoline and a hot tub. the hot tub/jaccuci was extremly relaxing. If I ever go into pro hockey I want to be in a team with a jaccuci in the changing room.  Well, on Friday my brother, Isak, his team came either fourth or fifth.

On Saturday Me and Pontus played. As I may have said, I am a goalie (and I must say, ’tis a thankless job).  Well we had borrowed Evan again. The Sandstorms didn’t have their good goalie so the outcome was as expected, we killed them totally. Our first game against the host city we won about 21 to 2. I mean, I had to let them score, I mean come on 21 to 2!!! There wasn’t much they could do.  The second game was no more fun for me I got the first shot after 25 minutes!!! They scored one in that game I think (this was against the red Sandstorms), we won about 15 to one or something like that (Im not even sure that they scored even one goal). the third game was the most challenging by far, we lost 2 to 0… Just kidding! they scored 2 goals though but we scored 8-10 goals so…

In general I thought this was an easy tournament. That is all for now folks. Here is a picture of my favorite hockey goalie, Henrik Lundqvist.

Ice Hockey Tournament 2

OK, first I just wanted  to say that i am sorry for not posting for a while (I actually have a quite good excuse; when i actually got started on a draft of a post my laptop crashed).  Oh well, this post is about my ice hockey tournament that i told of in my previous post. I thought I should write this now since I have another hockey tournament this Friday and Saturday. (OK, that was a long introduction) here is my post…

First of all we didn’t do as well this tournament… This is probably because Noah had to study for an exam and Kaleb had broken his collarbone whilst on a quad-bike. Well as in the previous tournament we borrowed some players from neighbouring cities. We borrowed: Chris (again), Markus (same nationality as me), Xander (refer to previous post), Evan (same as Xander).

In this tournament Drew (reffered to as Dean in the previous post I belive) was not playing for the Sandstorms. they still had some other good people like Barrette and Tylor. We played three games against them in a row.

In the first game we lost 3-2 in overtime after I had only gotten two or three shots on me, I can blame this on how early in the morning it was (11:45 but we had to start changing at 11 way too early for me).  The second game was almost a shutout for me (I let in one goal in the end of the second period). we won 3-1 after penalty shots. The first shot missed by a few centimeters. On the second one I messed up, I went down in butterfly too early and the guy got around me. I threw myself but left about half to 3/4 of a foot for him to score. He missed. The last game I played badly… We lost 2-1. That was the end of the tournament and we went home and waited for the next tournament to get our revenge.

Change

How things can change quickly, from the growing of a seed into a tree to the wingflap of a humming bird. I am writing this to express how I feel about things that have to change.

Today, March 9th 2008, my teacher resigned. This was a major change for me since he was my favorite teacher. His name is Mr. R for now. I don’t think that I will ever be the same after this. Mr. R had made me excited about going to Language Arts, which in all other grades I hated. I think that I hated Language Arts in all the other grades because we only did school writing. School writing is something Mr. R didn’t want. Mr. R made me start liking to write. I am proud to have had him as a teacher.

This Week in Class 2 (Not Sure What Dates These Are)

Last week Mr.R said that instead of having a “Today in Class,” we should have a “This Week in Class.” This is because people found it unfair that you could lose (grades) but not gain any (grades).  But then again, who cares if it is for a grade?  Oh well, here I go.

In class this week I learned that you most definitely should study for Arabic quizzes. I write this because I had an Arabic quiz on Wednesday and it was really hard… I wonder what I will get… Oh well, also, I learned that science tests are easy even though you don’t study, when in my previous “This Week in Class” post I wrote that I didn’t study for my science test and it was hard, I got a 24/28 (on it).  Also, I learned that adding homemade videos is not too hard (or so Mr. R says).  Fourthly, I learned that you the middle school is 1280cm tall, we had a competition in math to see who could get the closest to the actual height, I got 1274 cm, and Isaac’s group got it correctly. Fifthly, in Computer Exploration I learned more about Moho, an animation program.  Lastly, I learned (well I didn’t only learn six things but that’s all for now folks) that adding pictures and links to your blogposts gets them more exciting.

In class we basically talked about the same things as what I learned with the exception of Arabic. In Arabic we talked about the importance of studying (don’t tell my Arabic teacher, but I fell asleep). Also, in science we talked about why my science teacher had been sick for 2-3 weeks. I am really blank on this since we talked about so much that I can rarely remember anything I want to. For example, now I’m supposed to be thinking about this homework but I am thinking about a story I might start writing.  I should really start taking notes in class… Oh well, back to the subject I also talked about ratios, proportions, and percents in math (YAWN, 4th grade stuff). Oh well, that’s all I can remember for now…

In class I wanted to say… um… This is actually a very hard question if you ask me, one of the quietest 7th graders. So, well I wanted to ask why I got a question wrong on the science test, I forget which one. I also wanted to tell my computer teacher to that I was finished with everything we had to do and wanted him to see my work, he didn’t listen.  Oh well, that’s it for my, “What I Wanted to Say” section.

In other notes I would like thank Mr.R for changing the “Today in Class” to “This Week in Class,” that would’ve killed me.  Also, I think I should be doing this at an earlier time than 9 o’clock PM.

P.S. The link that is for Moho actually leads to Anime Studio, a program very like  Moho.

P.P.S. This is just a short video of a animated person walking(he was animated in Moho). Also, the video comes from here.

A Wrinkle in time questions (after finishing the book)

 Today in class Mr.R said that we had to write a blog post about the questions: “What do you think that the main theme of this book is?”and “What was our overall impression of the book. What was the most memorable? The least? What did you like? Dislike?” Here is my blog post;

I think that the main theme of A Wrinkle In Time is Good vs. Evil. Even though I think “good” and “evil” are only perspectives. I think I’ll make a post about that later. I think this is the main/most important theme because in Meg’s, Calvin’s, Charles Wallaces’s, and many others’s opinion the “Black Thing” is “evil” and they are “good”. But in the Black thing’s perspective the people trying to fight it are “evil” and it, is “good”.

Another great example of this is The Lord Of The Rings. This is because Sauron is seen as very “evil” and corrupts everyone he meets. While on the other hand the Elves, Men, Dwarfs, Hobbits, ect… are “good”. But Sauron does the things he does for a reason. One, he was originally one of the, I belive it is 7, wizards, but he was thrown out for practising Necromancy. Sauron was very angry and left to Middle Earth even though the Eldar had told him not to quite forcefully. When he was there he killed Morgomir, the Dark Lord of the first age. Oh well, I could probably go on and on and on about this but I won’t. Well, I hope you get my point, my entire reason to telling you that story was so that you could better understand that everyone does everything for a reason.

My overall opinion of this book is, I mean I liked it but it was way too short. I mean, come on I have read comic books longer than that (for you saying, “yeah right,” it is actually true).   The most memorable part must have been when the chilldren flew up to see a small version of the Black Thing. This was etched into my mind because I liked how she described the Black Thing. Also, I liked the part that the children used flowers to get oxygen in that kind of altitude.  The least memorable must be… Wait a minute, how can I answer this question since the least memoriable I won’t remember since it is not memoriable.  I liked how she made up the Wrinkling process, and if it would actually work, it would be cool to just be able to step from one place to another without walking all the way over to the place that you wanted to get to.  As I said before I disliked how short the book is, but other than that I cannot find any other faults.

P.S. Here is a picture of the Dark Lord Sauron. Ok, the Eye Of Sauron.

Ice Hockey Tournament 01/03/08

I have an Ice hockey tournament coming up very soon, 1st of March, 2008. So, I decided to write about what happened at the last tournament.

Yay! Tomorrow I am going to a ice hockey tournament! We are going against some really good teams my brother, Pontus, and I. Last time we beat the host of this tournament 3-2 in Sudden Death after our goalie had done a spectacular job.
In the first period we scored, I passed to one of the players we had borrowed from a city close to us and he shot and scored, 1-0 to us. Seven minutes later, the other player we had borrowed got the puck at half line and was away like a bullet. BAM, 2-0 for us. A minute passed their star player gets past our defence and suddenly the score was 2-1. Fweeeeeeet, the whistle for the end of the first period sounded.
The other team had total control over the game in the second period, but they only scored one goal! Mu Ji, our goalie was a wall stopping everything that came his way. Their goalie though, he is the best in the area. My team-mate, and school friend, Julian, was skating with full speed towards the net. The goalie goes down, Julian shoots high and GOA… wait, what… how could he save that? The puck was going 1 ½ feet above his head. His arm snaps up in a millisecond. He made an impossible save, we were baffled. He saved the impossible, But then again he saved a shot from Jari Kurri, a retired, Finnish NHL player. A few minutes later the second period was over. (We only play two 20 minute periods).
Now for the overtime, this was very short, only about 3-4 minutes long. In the beginning the other team (I cannot say who for security reasons so I’ll call them by their other name), the Sandstorms, got the puck, we won it back and went up to shoot and the goalie saves it, bad luck Raiders. The Sandstorms got the puck, Quickly they got passed our defence and shot. At this time I thought, “NOOO, it is over!” But Mu Ji saved it. We were jumping with joy and screaming our head off, “Good job Mu Ji, Way to go!!!!!!!!!!” 30 seconds later Julian gets the puck, he passes to Noah, Noah passes back, the time on the scoreboard is 3:42, Julian shoots and… Dead silence, where is the puck? Noah looks in the net and he screams, ”GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Our entire team is on the ice screaming our heads off and skating around like crazy mad beasts.
Of coarse we were extremely blissful. But the Sandstorms, they were not happy, in fact, thy the complete opposite since they beat us in the first round 7-1 they were as angry as a bumblebee when its flower is taken from it. Some of the parents even said that we cheated!!! Well, back to the game, the MVP for the Sandstorms went to their goalie (needs citation), and our MVP went to Mu Ji, the one who obviously deserved it the most.
Well, I’ll tell you about this tournament after I come home. Well, I’m going to the Sandstorm tournament tomorrow, so bye.

P.S. here is a picture I found of Jari Kurri.

I found this picture here.

P.P.S. On this site it explains more about my favorite ice hockey goalie, why don’t you check out my earlier post about this.

Caravan Log Enhanced

Mr.R said that our Caravan logs were too short so we had to write a longer one. Well, here it is.

A good proverb that i found today is “Don’t cut the tree that shades you.” I think this means that you shouldn’t literally cut the tree that puts you in the shade. I also think that it has another meaning, this meaning is that you shouldn’t cut down the person that shades you. Or in other words don’t hurt people that is close to you and the ones that help you.

I got this image here.

I also found out that Abd-al Rahman III ruled in Spain during the time of the Umayyad Empire. Adb-al Rahman III was the first and greatest caliph of the Umayyad Empire. He ruled from Cordova in Spain. He may not have been as good ruler but as his ancestor Adb-al Rahman, but he was loved by the people because of the freeness of religion during his rule.

Caravan Log 2

This is my second caravan log, I don’t have very much information on this one as the first one.  Well, I’ll start with how many Dirham we earned today.  we lost 11 Dirham, so now we have 44. We gained one trivia card giving us a total of 1 trivia card. We also gained 1 fact card to give us a total of 3 fact cards. Some interesting facts that i found are: of the former USSR’s fifteen states, six are Muslim.  Also, John the Baptist and Jesus are generally accepted as prophets in Islam, Muhammad was the last prophet. Those are some things I learned today.
